Electropolis Museum

The Electropolis Museum is first and foremost the story of a century-old machine. The story of a monster of cast iron, steel and copper which supplied electricity to a Mulhouse filtering plant until the middle of the 20th century. A true witness to the industrial heritage of Mulhouse, the Sulzer-BBC machine built in 1901 was saved from destruction in the 1980s by a group of enthusiasts who joined forces to create the Electropolis Museum. The adventure of electricity - Experience the extraordinary human, technical and industrial adventure of electricity in a trendy museum accessible to all.

Come and repair Santa's sleigh!

From 4 to 31 December 2024

Festivités de Noël

During December, the Musée Electropolis is offering a Christmas activity for children aged 5 to 10. Santa's sleigh won't fly off the ground - you've got to fix it! Santa's sleigh won't fly away. The problem is the ‘Noëlometer’, which is essential to the sleigh's operation. To fix it, the Electricity Fairy recruits assistants to travel back in time and collect all the objects in the museum needed to repair it. Once the items have been obtained, the Electricity Fairy hands them over to Mrs Claus. This activity takes place in two stages: Searching for objects: using clues showing the means of communication in different eras, the children search for the objects hidden in the museum.
Making their own Noelometer: backstage at Santa's workshop, children are given a little box to decorate with various decorations and stickers representing the objects they have found.
